Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms

Due to the ongoing pandemic, and to help keep you and our colleagues safe we’re following national guidance and minimising face to face contacts. We will continue to support you through video consultation, telephone consultations and virtual clinics and we’ll see you face to face where this is safe, and the most appropriate way to support you in line with the national guidance.

Patients do not have to be registered to see a GP or nurse at Coventry NHS Urgent care Centre. We can help people with busy lifestyles that need access to flexible and convenient health services and may have difficulty accessing a convenient appointment at their registered practice.

We can also help patients who may not be registered with a GP practice who might normally attend Accident and Emergency (A&E) for treatment which could be provided by a GP or nurse.

The Coventry NHS Urgent Care Centre is a walk-in service. Patients cannot register or make appointments at this centre, although limited appointments may be booked via 111 if appropriate to do so.

The following services are available to patients who are not registered at the Centre and would like to see a GP or nurse – please visit our services page.

Registering with or changing GPs

If you are not registered with a GP practice or would like to change your registered practice, you can obtain more information about GP surgeries in your area, the services they offer and opening times by calling your Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0300 303 9509.

Alternatively, please click here to visit the NHS Choices website for more information.

We recommend that you are registered at the GP practice nearest to your home address to improve your access to medical services.

Services are available 8am to 10pm, Monday to Friday, 365 days a year.
